Hello I’m Ruth and this is My Yoga Club, well actually it’s Your Yoga Club, after all it’s here for you. But first let me tell you how it all began…

I had my first taste of Yoga 2004. Too afraid to go to a class, I bought DVDs and stayed indoors. Years later I plucked up the courage to attend a class.

Although I attended these religiously, the Fitness or Traditional Yoga classes didn’t sit well with me. I took the plunge, became a Yoga Teacher and blended the concepts.

In 2014 My Yoga Club was born. Working hard to parcel up the best of Yoga, Fitness, Bio-mechanics, Meditation and more, I created a class to make you fitter, connect with your body, and help you learn to accept yourself.

Meet your instructor

Hi I’m Ruth. I’m not your average yoga teacher … I certainly don’t follow all the rules and my classes are not typical so why don’t you try something new today and come to one of MY Yoga classes – it’s going to be different to what you might think.

    A year ago I turned 60 and felt fat, lazy and useless. I couldn’t find the energy to do any exercise and I struggled to bend down to put a pair of tights on. I needed to do something to improve my fitness and my flexibility so I went searching for some inspiration. I found Ruth on the internet and gave her a call. My first yoga lesson was apparently rather noisy with lots of grunts and moans but one year on I can bend, squat and stretch without pain or noise and I am slimmer, more energised and alive. Ruth was kind, encouraging and never judgemental about my yoga skills. She coaxed me from the stiff awkward person I used to be to the much more flexible and energetic person I am now. Ruth taught me that yoga can become part of your daily life and I often hear her voice in my head telling me to walk tall, bend my knees and slide and glide my shoulders. What she has taught me will stay with me forever.
