I’ve been having a lot of conversations lately with brilliant women around money.
Like…it wasn’t until 1975 that women were able to open their own bank account or apply for a credit card without a husbands permission. Crazy right?
No wonder we have so many funky money thoughts and patterns considering we’ve not really had ownership of it for long. Imagine the long line of ancestral and generational patterns we’re having to break?!
But it’s not just owning our own money we’re getting to grips with. Oh no. Something else over the years we’ve struggled to have agency over is time.
I saw something on IG and ngl, it pissed me off:
“While marriage tends to increase men’s lifespan, it can shorten women’s”
Why? The stress of the over giving, the second shift, the emotional labour, the invisible load, the “being the house manager”…basically putting everyone else but ourselves first.
We create conditions for our partners to thrive in but when it comes to OUR dreams, our goals, our plans, our growth…we’re often left trying to squeeze it all into the tiny scraps of time left at the end of the day.
Now I’m not saying grab your pitchforks and dump your husband. But what I AM saying is no wonder, as a collective, women are STILL learning and breaking mindset patterns around putting up boundaries, outsourcing, and asking for help. No wonder we procrastinate and have mindset issues around the things we want to do.
We don’t lack ambition or discipline….We’re F*$King exhausted. We’re so used to giving everything to everyone else, we’ve rarely had the chance to go all in on ourselves. And is it really any wonder when for most of our history, we’ve been taught to put all our time aside for other people?
This is why I do what I do
One of the things I love about my line of work is seeing how much time it saves my clients:

And I’m not talking a few hours here and there. I’m talking:
- All the times you’ve thought about your website and it’s dampened your energy.
- All the times a task took you longer to complete because you’ve were distracted by the thought of “need to sort my website”.
- All the times you didn’t launch because you DIDN’T want more eyeballs on your biz.
- All the times you DIDN’T hand over your URL because you didn’t want them to see your site.
- All the evenings and weekends spent wrestling with a 5 minute task that turned into a 5 hour ordeal.
- All the weeks, months, YEARS trying to make your site look great only for it to ever turn out “just okay”
- All the times you procrastinated on a task you really wanted to do (and your gut was telling you would lead to growth) because “we need to get the website done first”.
- All the times you’ve looked at your to-do and felt pressed because “get website sorted” was still there.
Aforementioned articles like above put a bee in a bonnet and a fire in my belly because I’m reminded of the greater impact my work has.
Because every client I work with:
👉 is another woman taking agency of her own time
👉 is another woman going all in ON HERSELF.
👉 is another woman giving herself permission to not “have to do it all on her own”
👉 is another woman allowing herself to be supported to thrive.
Websites are my craft…but they’re also my way of helping women reclaim a bit of what’s been taken from them (time, focus, energy etc).
So next time you question your desires, doubt your impact, or hold back on your goals, please remember…
…when you go after what you want, the entire world benefits and breaks collective chains in the process.
P.S. Ready to drop the DIY time suck and upgrade to a site you love?
