BIG.FUCKING.HEADERS
Especially on mobile! You know the ones…
They take up a big chunk of screen space and get in the way when you’re trying to browse the website.
I was speaking with a friend the other day and she said:
“Gah, you know what really annoys me on websites? When they have a really big header, and I’m trying to scroll and read the content but the header just get’s in the way…”
Big headers are frustrating! And when people feel frustration towards your site, they’ll leave.
You’ve also got 0.3 seconds to impress someone when they land on your site. So gravitate them to your offering that’s going to benefit THEM.
People want want’s in it for them. They didn’t visit your site to stare at your logo so keep it small and ensure your website’s header is out the way.
